Tentative Agreements Ratified

At the April 15, 2009 General Union Meeting, the Tentative Agreements reached with the MSU administration were ratified by the membership. The vote was: 33—yes, 0—no, and 1 abstention.

The tentative agreements reached that require ratification by the membership are:

1. Teaching Fellows Program
2. Summer Departmental Administration
3. Four Day Workweek/ Modified Summer Schedules for Professional Staff and Librarians
4. Winter Holiday Work and the Academic Calendar

The agreements which were not subject to ratification are:

1. Sabbatical Leave Procedures
2. Flex Time Application Procedures
3. Tuition Waiver for Dependent Children, Spouses and Partners to a Civil Union
4. Transition to Retirement
5. Coverage for the Friday After Thanksgiving and the Academic Calendar
6. Professional Staff Review Board: Memorandum of Understanding

The four Tentative Agreements were voted upon as a group, not individually, by members attending the General Union Meeting.
